| Mets Executives Board a Helicopter |
Get Over it. Get over the fact that the Wilpons are bad owners (right now, remember that the Mets used to be big spenders for most of 2000's.) Don't put yourself through a struggle of not watching the team you love. The team you grew up watching. Don't let your passion go that far. Because it's not going to work. While the Mets may be deep in debt there are ways for them to become worse and still hold on to the team. Take a look at those guys over in Florida. Loria is going to have very little attendance yet is going to pocket money in revenue sharing. The Mets very well will collect revenue sharing if you don't go to the ballpark. They are going to collect revenue from SNY no matter what happens. They will hold onto the team.
So I say, go to games. Have fun. If you have children go to a game or two. Tickets are cheap once we get underway and into the season (besides opening day). Last year if you followed the boycott strategy, you missed a no hitter, you missed Matt Harvey, you missed rookies, you missed a team that was in contention for half the season. You missed a CY young award winner and a 20 game winner. You don't want to miss these things again. Turn on SNY, go to a game, you won't regret it. Who knows what you could see next season.
