Well, I think time is coming to an end. The Terry Collins era is almost over and Terry Watch has begun. Of course the Mets will wait till the end of the season as there is no need to pay two managers at the same time if the team isn't going to compete.
While I personally think the Mets have a real chance to come back and fight, the sense of optimism has slowly declined. Not only by the continual bashing by Mets fans on twitter but by the dismantling of the Mets clubhouse. I'm rather sick of the lack of support that Valdespin gets from everyone. Who cares that he has swagger, there was zero retaliation or support for him after he got by a pitch and Valdespin while arrogant is possibly one of the Mets best players. If Terry can't control a clubhouse he really shouldn't be the manager right now, but I can understand if they wait till next year. I understand it's a tough job but Terry needs to go out and make the best decisions he can. He shouldn't be sitting a player just because. Terry's made some head scratching decisions and made some brilliant ones. If the rest of the season goes well, I'll congratulate him on a job well done.
